I honestly don't know if its dishonest to lie to keep a secret. I mean it kinda is because your not being honest your lien. I think it all depends on the secret. We are not suppose to lie at all but we do0 anyways. So when we lie it should be for the good not the bad. For example, you may lie to protect someone or for someones benefit so it might not be dishonest. You don't want someones business out there and if its a life or death moment you don't want that person injured because you didn't want to be dishonest. I really do think it all depends on the secret and why your lien. Yes, honesty is not lien but no one is completely honest all the time. I never really though of that before. Its based on the situation your in, you shouldn't lie just to lie or to keep yourself out of trouble . I think it all depends on the situation and the secret.
